About Claudette

Claudette Thomas is the creator and director of We Move Denison (read “What’s Behind the Name” here). Claudette first began her yoga and meditation studies & practice in the early 90s. She discovers the work of Joseph Pilates first in a dream and then while walking down an aisle in the public library a book literally flew off the shelf and onto the floor in front of her. No kidding! It was Return To Life Through Contrology by Joseph H Pilates. This catapulted her into a very dynamic and fulling career in integrated movement and somatic therapy. She studied with two of the original disciples of Joseph Pilates, Ron Flecher and Kathy Grant. With a deep interest in therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional movement as it relates to the body/mind, she went on to study movement analysis, Laban-Bartenieff Fundamentals, the work of Moshe Feldenkrais, Craniosacral, Somato Emotional Release, and Myofascial Release and other somatic therapies. She studied Prana Vinyasa with Shiva Rea, Gyrotonic & Gyrokinesis with inventor Juliu Horvath. She has worked with many other amazing movement and mind-bodywork teachers and continues to do so. She is highly proficient at getting to the root of the problem and assisting anyone in becoming pain-free within a very short time. She has worked in Bermuda, NYC, & Buffalo, NY.
