Class Descriptions
Pilates Fundamentals
This class is based on the work of Joesph Pilates and Eve Gentry who worked with Joesph Pilates from 1944 to 1967. We will cover the Pilates fundamental movements, principles, and philosophy of control, alignment, flow, concentration, precision, breath, stabilization, and mobilization.
This class is a must for all students new to Pilates and an excellent class for refining your skills for the advanced student.
Vinyasa Flow
This class connects movement with breath while flowing through a sequence of poses that are linked primarily through the Sun Salutation. This is a semi-fast pace class that emphasizes calm stability within the body-mind through the use of the breath and gaze.
Movement Re-Patterning
Do you have chronic pain or old injuries that impeded your movement? Are you chronically stiff, tired, or feel disconnected? Or possible non of the above but you would like to explore more awareness through your body.
Then this class is for you!
We'll focus on releasing fascial lines while opening up new pathways of moving using the work of Feldenkrais, Mind-Body Centering, Body-in-Motion, Laban-Barteniff, and Child Developmental Movement Re-patterning.
You'll create more ease, release your nervous system, and free chronic holding patterns.
Restorative Yoga
Ever wonder what all those props are for? You'll find out as you release, relax, and restore your mind, body, and soul in this supportive regenerating class. A must-try for everyone!
This is essential for those who tend to only exercise in a more Yang style, which is a more dynamic and muscular-oriented way of exercising, such as weight lifting, running, biking, etc. where the emphasis is solely on building muscle and cardio strength.
This class will bring balance and renewal to the joints, connective tissues, cardiovascular system, muscles, and bones leaving one less susceptible to chronic pain and injury.
Beginners Vinyasa
In this class, you will learn the foundational poses within Vinyasa Yoga as well as the breathing technique that is used, the gaze, and how to activate the minor bondhas (locks) within the poses.
Ayurvedic Yoga
Ayurveda Yoga offers a sustainable, lifelong discipline that brings healing and balance to body & mind. You'll systematically be moved through a cycle of form, energy, mind, integration, and regeneration. The emphasis is on alignment, form, movement, breath-work, awareness, attention, intention, and mindfulness.
The Tibetan Ayurveda Yoga form is divided into 3 exercises, the Body Sequence, the Nadis/Meridian, and Energy Sequence. We end with Meditation and Relaxation.
This class is open to all levels of experience.
Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, the ligaments, bones, and the joints of the body that normally are not focused on in the more active styles of yoga practice. To do this, poses are held for longer periods of time.
Yoga 4 Everyone
Whether you're new to yoga or an experienced practitioner, you will gain great insight and benefits from this class. You will move through different asanas (poses) and be guided with the right ques to refine and deepen into the asana or come to know them for the first time.
Slow Flow Yoga
New to Yoga or want to go deeper into your practice? This is a great place to start.
